Oh also
No big deal but Caleb is moving out of the apartment tomorrow to go on a world tour and I'm moving out next week so technically this whole blog is over. Sorry, forgot to mention it sooner, lol.
Well, what can I say?
Caleb and I were having a conversation about this very thing earlier today. We have both found, in our recent experiences, that people (mostly adults) feel a need to say a bunch of things to those who will soon be departing – platitudes about excitement, keeping in touch, being missed, safety, making memories, time passing, etc – that are really not totally necessary. Like, it's very nice and all, but we'd be just fine without all those words!
So as we wrap up the New York part of our story, Caleb and I will be abiding by this spirit of brevity. We're not going to go on and on about our journey and what we learned and how we will always be roommates in our hearts. Just not gonna do it.
Instead we're going to try to make the apartment look a bit less like a disaster area (which it does, today) and go out to dinner. Then we're going to come back here and probably watch a movie and go to sleep. And then tomorrow Caleb will leave.
And we're going to end this post like this: See you later! Thanks! Bye!

An acrostic for Caleb
R is for roommate because you are my roommate
Only you are both my roommate and my brother
There is no one else who is both those things
How could I possibly replace you in my heart, sweet brother?
Every day I thank my lucky stars that you are in my life
Remember all the fun times we have had together?
A final farewell to our imaginary doorman
RUSTY: Leaving, boys?
JORDAN: Yeah Rusty, we gotta get this show on the road.
RUSTY: But can't you stay just a little longer boys? I'll show you my new trick. I can swallow swords and juggle at the same time now.
CALEB: We can't Rusty. I've got to go be a star.
JORDAN: And I've got to bzslklskhalsh.
CALEB: Also the rent is too damn high.
RUSTY: Put me in your suitcase?
CALEB: I can only pack 44 pounds.
JORDAN: Plus you've got to watch the building and make sure no one pees on the door.
RUSTY: I guess you're right.
JORDAN: Remember Rusty, no matter where we go, you'll never leave us. You'll always be our doorman.
CALEB: In our hearts.
RUSTY: I'll miss you children. Class dismissed.

A visual guide to eating Brother Brother style in NYC
I'll just come right out with it: Caleb and I are breaking up the band. That's right. We're moving out. He's going to travel the world and I'm going to alsdhfljasdh.
As we honor our last month together in the apartment, and get increasingly schmaltzy, I thought I'd start creating some high quality content
Whenever I think of the time I've spent living with Caleb I'm usually thinking of some place we went to go eat. During the day we are always out and about, so it's usually at breakfast or dinner when we have our special moments.

"How is your brother?"
Does this need explanation?
